Occitanie, and especially the region of Béziers, is dotted with vineyards on the plains and on the hillsides. The Minervois, the Saint Chinian, the Faugerois but also the Terrasses du Larzac are all appellations to discover.

The villages have kept their picturesque aspects, with their circulades and their ford towers. On the coastal strip or in the hinterland there are like open-air museums, with their cafes, restaurants and local shops.

Between mountain-hikes, canoeing, canyoning, greenways or bicycle rides along the Canal du Midi, there are plenty of opportunities to play sports unless you prefer to support the Béziers rugby team.

From the Rhône to the Spanish border, Occitanie offers a long strip of fine sandy beaches and renowned seaside resorts, not forgetting the historic ports of Sète, Collioure or Port-Vendres. The beautiful mediterranean sea, locally referred to as ‘La grande bleue’ is only 30min. drive from the Château de Rouvignac.

Béziers and its region
Béziers is probably the oldest city in France first created by the Greeks, it has one of the largest historic centers with its acropolis dominated by the Cathedral of Saint Nazaire. This is where the Canal du Midi and the River Orb intersect, where we go back in time by visiting the 9 locks built in the XVIth century by Paul Riquet. The city is also the birth place of Jean Moulin, one of the heros of the French resistance.
Less than an hour away you can visit Pézenas, the city of Molière, or Sète, that of Brassens, and no less than half a dozen Romanesque abbeys and a little further in the Aude the famous Cathar castles.

Our charming gite in Château de Rouvignac:
it occupies the entire south wing on 220m2, furnished and fully equipped, available to you where you will be independent and can feel “at home”. It is designed to accommodate 8 people. All equipped and furnished in style, as it should be, including library, television, washing machines and dishes, fridge, dishes, cooker etc…
You have access to the following rooms: living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathrooms. The swimming pool is shared with the owner (secured with fence and locked doors), a terrace on the south side in exclusive use with greenhouse, BBQ and various garden furnitures. Access to the park.
We offer an all-comfort formula with ‘all inclusive’ where household linen, sheets and end-of-stay cleaning are included.

these are rooms furnished with a private bathroom. The rental of our guest rooms is done by the night and always includes breakfast. The house can offer a maximum of 3 very spacious guest rooms.
